Conversation in our kitchen:

Nicholas: What are you doing?

Me: Making dinner.

Nicholas: (Said nonchalantly) I can't eat dinner. My stomach hurts.

Me: I'm sorry.

Nicholas: I bet if I ate some candy, that would make my stomach feel better!
