Update
After typing the last post, I found dear Philip with a stray marker drawing on the dining room glass door. When confronted with "Phil! What are you doing!?", he pointed at his masterpiece and responded
"Circles!".
P.S. They actually were circle shapes - maybe I should just be happy he is learning his shapes!
